How Can A Planning Version Be Frozen And Unfrozen ?
  • The planning Version can be frozen and unfrozen using Function Module /SAP CS/TS_PAREA_VERSIO_FREEZE so that no further changes to the planning version can be done.

What Is Release Profile ?
  • To release time series data from DP to SNP/PPDS, a release profile is used. You must specify the DP Planning Area, the time series key figure, the SNP Category Type (usually FA), and the release location for the data. You can keep a Daily Buckets Profile, which will specify the number of working days (determined by the Shipping Calendar kept for the location master) beginning on and from the From Date if released online or interactively, or the number of working days of the planning horizon when released automatically. How the demand plan is released to SNP from DP is determined by the Period Split (blank, 1, and 2) parameter on the SNP2 tab of the location-product master.

What Is The Usage Of Period Factor ?
  • The Availability Date of a Receipt element inside a time bucket (period) is determined by the Period Factor stored in the SNP PPM or Transportation Lane. The system calculates the precise availability date/time of the receipt items inside a period by adding a time interval to the period start time (which it obtains by multiplying the period factor by the period length). You can enter a factor in the range of 0 to 1, with 0 representing the beginning of the time, 0.5 the halfway, and 1 the conclusion. The system considers all weekdays when determining the availability date and hour, therefore it does not take into account any days that have been designated as holidays in the calendars.
