What is an ADSO (Advanced DataStore Object) in SAP BW on HANA?

ADSO is the central data storage object in BW on HANA. It combines the features of InfoCubes, DSOs, and PSA. It supports different modeling types (standard DSO, write-optimized, cube-like).
